The ?Employee Investigation & Adjudication Training Certification? is a 3-day training session that focuses on investigative requirements, adjudication principals, and the employee suitability criteria outlined in the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act (Public Law 101-630), Indian Country Law Enforcement Regulations (25 CFR 12) and the Tribal Law and Order Act.

The course consists of both instructor-led lessons and practical exercises that take attendees through realistic investigative and adjudicative scenarios, culminating with an exercise that includes all aspects of child care, public trust and law enforcement positions. Attendees participate in each phase of the investigation and adjudication processes from initial employee screening and conducting a background investigation, through case ranking, developing a case summary, and making a final adjudication determination. Attendees will take a final exam that emphasizes their ability to use the course-provided reference materials and adjudication tools.

The training is designed for Tribal administrators of programs responsible for the care and safety of children, Tribal employers with security, suitability, and investigation programs, background investigators and adjudicators subject to federal requirements. The cost is $800.00 per attendee.
