A Solid Foundation

The ?Basics of an Employee Investigation Program? is a 3-day training session that focuses on the development of an Employee Investigation Program. The history of the investigative requirements, adjudication principals, and the employee suitability criteria will be covered to ensure compliance with the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act (Public Law 101-630), Indian Country Law Enforcement Regulations (25 CFR 12) and the Tribal Law and Order Act. Development of policies, procedures, and investigative questionnaires is included in the training.

Attendees are asked to bring their existing policies and investigative questionnaires. Attendees will learn all phases of pre-screening to include hands-on fingerprinting techniques, initial employee screening, and the conducting of background investigations. The course consists of both instructor-led lessons and practical exercises that take attendees through realistic investigative scenarios, culminating with an exercise that includes all aspects of both child care and law enforcement background investigations.

The training is designed for Tribal Administrators of programs responsible for the care and safety of children and communities, Managers, Executive Officers, and Tribal Human Resources and/or Administrative Offices with security, suitability, and investigation programs subject to federal requirements. The cost is $800.00 per attendee.
