Advanced Investigation & Adjudication Training for Child Care Positions Training

This 3-day course focuses on the investigative requirements, adjudication principles, and suitability criteria outlined in the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Protection Act standards established for individuals who have regular contact with or control over Indian children. The course is designed for programs that service children and is among the few training programs dedicated to investigation and adjudication and the only one that is specific for the needs of Tribal Programs conducting their own background investigations and making adjudication determinations.

Attendees participate in each phase of the adjudication process from initial screen, through case ranking, developing a case summary, and making a final adjudication determination. The course includes practical exercises and a final exam to ensure understanding training material by attendees.
